WHEN TO GO

Pisa is a city you can visit all year round, however, it is usually visited Spring to Autumn, due to its warm climate. The shoulder months of April to early June and early September to late October are good times to visit with the temperature being more comfortable to explore the key landmarks.

Pisa’s historic centre is compact, making it perfect to explore on foot. You can also get around using the bus services that are well connected to reach the key landmarks the city offers. You can easily purchase your bus tickets from local news-stands or ticket offices/machines. Pisa is well connected to other nearby Tuscan towns such as Florence, Lucca and Siena with its train routes running from Pisa Centrale Station.
