Background to Split:  Famous for its UNESCO heritage protection, the wonderful city of Split is home to the famous palace, bearing the Roman emperor Diocletian's name, It contains a wealth of history and culture. Split is also an excellent base for exploring the wider region. Visit the nearby Krka National Park, a beautiful location with stunning waterfalls. Or visit the the nearby town of Trogir, with its delightful old town dating back to the 13th century.



Background to Dubrovnik: Crowned the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’ for its sheer beauty, Dubrovnik will no doubt leave you in awe. The walled old town is home to a wealth of history and culture including numerous churches and museums. We recommend a walk round the city walls and to go up Mount Srd via the cable car to give you a new perspective to the city. Dubrovnik is also great for day trips, such as the Mljet National Park and the wooded island of Lokrum.


Sample Itinerary


Day 1 - Split

Arrive at Split Airport, where a private transfer will meet you in arrivals and take you directly to your chosen Split Hotel. Head out to the Diocletian Palace and explore this fantastic old town

Day 2 - Split: Day Trip Idea - Hvar

Probably Croatia's most famous island, Hvar is a great day trip from Split being only an hour away by catamaran. Venetian architecture, elegant restaurants and superb local islands await

Day 3 - Split: Day Trip Idea - Krka National Park

Covering 142 square metres, this is an area of outstanding natural beauty. It’s famous for its magnificent waterfalls, including the famous Skradinski Buk, a collection of 17 waterfalls that range in height of 45 metres. Easily accessible by coach or an organised excursion, it's a perfect day trip from Split

Day 4 - Dubrovnik - Explore the Old Town

Check out of your Split hotel and head to Dubrovnik by private transfer or catamaran. Check in to your chosen hotel in Dubrovnik. Head into the old town, a UNESCO world heritage site, celebrated for its outstanding cultural and historical heritage boasts entire streets and buildings perfectly preserved to create an awe-inspiring Roman environment. Walk the city walls and head up the cable car for unbelievable views!

Day 5 - Dubrovnik: Day Trip Idea - Elaphiti Islands

These delightful islands between 20 minutes and an hour from Dubrovnik offers a great island hopping day trip. If a sandy beach is what you’re after, head for Sunj Beach on Lopud Island where a wide horse-shoe bay awaits. Sipan island is a tranquil haven and great for walking and exploring. Kolocep is the closest island and offers pretty beach coves and pine covered hills.

Day 6 - Dubrovnik: Day Trip Idea - Mljet National Park

A highly recommended day trip from Dubrovnik, this large area includes two azure salt lakes, surrounded by pine forest. It’s a great place to explore by foot, bicycle and kayak. The waters are also very warm and clear, so having a dip is also highly recommended.

Day 7 - Dubrovnik

Spend your last full day relaxing on the beach or by the pool. Read a book, laze around and soak up the Adriatic sun!
