Kotor

Background to Kotor: Located in one of the most breath-taking parts of Montenegro, the charming historic town of Kotor is graced by a tranquil setting of mountains, water and lush vegetation - the perfect recipe for visitors to explore and relax. Nestled at the head of Southern Europe's deepest fjord, Kotor is completely enclosed within thick stone walls. The Old Town retains its historically strong Venetian influence and the maze of charming streets and delightfully named squares reflect the various trades and crafts that were once practiced here.

Dubrovnik

Background to Dubrovnik: Crowned the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’ for its sheer beauty, Dubrovnik will no doubt leave you in awe. The walled old town is home to a wealth of history and culture including numerous churches and museums. We recommend a walk round the city walls and to go up Mount Srd via the cable car to give you a new perspective to the city. Dubrovnik is also great for day trips, such as the Mljet National Park and the wooded island of Lokrum.

Split

Background to Split:  Famous for its UNESCO heritage protection, the wonderful city of Split is home to the famous palace, bearing the Roman emperor Diocletian's name, It contains a wealth of history and culture. Split is also an excellent base for exploring the wider region. Visit the nearby Krka National Park, a beautiful location with stunning waterfalls. Or visit the the nearby town of Trogir, with its delightful old town dating back to the 13th century.
